Wordsworth Lodge, a boutique hotel on the forested foothill of Gurushikar, Aravali’s tallest peak, embodies a romantic legacy. In 1965, Diana Wordsworth, a descendant of poet William Wordsworth, came to India and fell in love with Colonel Buddha Sen of the Indian Army. Guided by game ranger Fateh Singh Rathore, they found the perfect hill station spot and built their dream home. Designed by architect Rumy Shroff, the house remained incomplete due to the colonel’s death and was bequeathed to Fateh upon Diana’s death in 1984. Now restored by Dr. Goverdhan Singh Rathore, it offers breathtaking views and serene natural surroundings.
